December 2005 - We received a grant from the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) for new amateur radio equipment to use on HF, VHF, UHF frequencies. (Here's the ribbon cutting ceremony at MHS in March, 2006). Also, two antennas have been added.
February 2006 - New class for Moorpark High School for this fall: Radio Amateurs and DIsaster Operations (RADIO).
March 2006 - RADIO is board-approved by the Moorpark Unified School District.
April 2006 - Numerous articles in magazines, radio and newspapers publicize the new class.
September 2006 - Moorpark High School (RADIO) receives the GOLD AWARD from the California Emergency Services Association. Click here to see the article.
December 2006 - Moorpark High School (RADIO) receives a $5000 grant from State Farm Insurance on December 1. This grant money will be used to publish preparedness materials which will be distributed nationwide.
December 2006 - Here is the new U.S. Amateur Radio Band Allocation as of December 15.
