Thomas R. Baker

Mr. Baker is an amateur radio license holder - Extra Class, a Life Member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), and an accredited Volunteer Examiner with the Greater Los Angeles Amateur Radio Group (GLAARG).

He is a current member of the California Science Teachers Association (CSTA); the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM); the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and the California Emergency Services Association (CESA).

He possesses two professional clear teaching credentials from the State of California: Mathematics and Physical Science.  He also holds three weather forecasting certificates from the United States Navy and a Master's Degree (MS) in the Geosciences from Mississippi State University, Mississippi, 2001.  The MS has emphasis in Meteorology and Geology.  He is also a severe weather spotter for the National Weather Service (Oxnard, CA), # VTU476.

Mr. Baker is a certified instructor with the American Red Cross as a Lay Responder and Professional Rescuer in: First Aid, CPR and AED training, Water Safety Instruction and Lifesaving (Rescue and Water Safety).  He also holds certification as a CERT instructor through the Ventura County Fire Department.

He is a part-time stringer reporter with KFWB AM news radio.  He has been a teacher at Moorpark High School since 1993.  A songwriter, he is a member of ASCAP (# 1754199, CAE/IPI # 532.03.44.97), a member of SAG (member # 00983321) and is also a voice-over actor, (AFTRA member # 469296.)
