This is the Nojoqui Falls (off Highway 246, just south of Solvang.) The water falling 168 feet comes from the massive rains in early 2005 that have been stored (to overflowing capacity) in an aquifer (water-bearing rock.) There are many of these waterfalls throughout Southern California that were activated after many years of being dry.
