WX Instructors

Thomas R. Baker

Mr. Baker is an amateur radio license holder - Extra Class and a Life Member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).

He is a current member of the California Science Teachers Association (CSTA); the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM); and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).

He possesses two professional clear teaching credentials from the State of California: Mathematics and Physical Science.  He also holds three weather forecasting certificates from the United States Navy and a Master's Degree (MS) in the Geosciences from Mississippi State University, Mississippi, 2001.  The MS has emphasis in Meteorology and Geology.


Instructors:

Both of your instructors (Ms. Harvuot and Mr. Baker) are available by appointment, before school and at lunch.  Students:  feel free to drop in any time in either classroom (S-1 for Ms. Harvuot, and F-4 for Mr. Baker).

If you want to discuss your grades, please print them out first.  Here is a secure log-in for Webgrade.

 

You will need an ID number and a password to access your grades.  Bring the printed sheet to the instructor for the class your are currently enrolled.  We are always available to answer questions and exchange ideas about your classes/subjects.  We are passionate about what we do.

  Trine Harvuot

Marine Biology is a forte of Trine Harvuot.  Ms. Harvuot is a biology teacher at Moorpark High School, and has been since 1993.  She is a member of the California Science Teachers Association (CSTA), and the Marine Biology Teachers Association (MBTA). 

 

She is directly involved with the Channel Islands Marine Sanctuary Naturalist Corps as a launching point for this particular class.

 

Ms. Harvuot possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Humboldt State University, California.  Her California Professional Clear Credential is in the subject area of Biology and was received from California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, California. 

She is also a certified lifeguard for the State of California and is extensively involved with the local YMCA of Conejo Valley, Thousand Oaks as a climbing instructor and youth camp director.
