My fellow meteorology students…

You are embarking on a journey constantly changing each day.  You are explorers.

Ask questions of what you’ve learned.  Use these tools to extend your reach into the sky.  For now, your reach may seem somewhat clumsy or the tool you hold may be crude.

They can be made finer only by your touch.

It is said that imagination is more important than knowledge.  But, I’ve said in class many times, “Wonder is more important than imagination.”  For it leads to the sharpening of these tools we use.

Just try.

Your meteorology teacher,

Thomas R. Baker
